A dream that started around a campfire.

John and Tracy met when they were young and quickly discovered they shared a love for camping and the outdoors. When their daughter, Carlee, came along, she was introduced to camping at just a few months old. Over the years, camping became more than a hobby; it became a way of life. Friends and family joined along the way, and before long, they had created a traveling camping group that brought everyone together for years of adventures, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Through all those years around the campfire, one dream continued to grow: someday, they would have a campground of their own.

In 2016, that dream became a reality when we began our journey here at Lost Acres.

From the very beginning, our vision was to create a family-friendly place where people could slow down, gather with the people they love, and make the kind of memories that last a lifetime — just as our own family had done through all those years of camping together.

Since then, Lost Acres has grown into more than just a campground. Along the way came our country store and, somewhat unexpectedly, our restaurant! While the restaurant wasn’t part of our original plan, it has become a very special part of our story. Many of the recipes we serve are family recipes, passed down through generations from John’s mom and beyond. We take great pride in serving homemade comfort food inspired by the meals that have filled our own family dinner tables for years.

We are still a small, family-run operation, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. We have plenty more dreams and goals for Lost Acres, but we’re taking it one year, one season, and one memory at a time.

Our hope is that when you visit Lost Acres, you don’t just feel like a guest — you feel like part of the family.

Whether you’re camping for the weekend, stopping by the store, sharing a meal in our restaurant, or gathering around a campfire with the people you love, we’re grateful to be a small part of your story.
